Improve med facilities for patients with heart ailments, DyCM directs hospitals
Increase number of beds in the indoor facility. There should be adequate stock of medicines needed for heart ailments. Emergency should be operated for 24 hours. ECG and echo should be done for all the needy patients. Pathology and radiology services should run 24 hours. No laxity will be tolerated: Brajesh Pathak
Pathak said that heart ailments aggravate in the cold, hence government hospitals should be ready for an increase in flow of patients. “The outpatient department (OPD) services should be run in full capacity and if required more doctors should sit in OPDs of the heart diseases department. Treatment should be made available to all patients,” he said.

He also gave directions to deploy an additional team of doctors and paramedical staff in ICUs and make arrangements to keep the wards warm.
