Under the process, construction of buildings for additional beds is almost complete in many districts. With these, these beds will add to the existing 1.2 lakh hospital beds. He said that 1,492 beds in 41 district hospitals, 11,720 beds in 586 Community Health Centers (CHCs) and 13,134 beds in 2184 Primary Health Centres (PHCs) would be increased across the state. This means that 36 beds will be added in each district hospital, 20 beds in CHC and 6 beds in PHC. Presently each CHC has 30 beds while each PHC has four beds.

Brajesh Pathak said timely diagnosis makes treatment easier and issued an official order to chief medical officers, heads of hospitals and medical colleges asking them to ensure implementation.
