HC imposes ₹25k cost on PS, med edu director & MGM dean

Indore: Indore bench of MP high court has imposed cost of Rs 25,000 on principal secretary medical education, director, medical education department, and dean of MGM medical college against non-promotion to petitioner.

Justice Vivek Rusia ordered, “The promotion order dated April 1, 2016, is hereby set aside. Resultantly, the promotion of respondent no.4 (Dr Arvind Ghanghoriya) to the post of professor on the recommendation of DPC dated March 29, 2016, is hereby quashed.”

“The petitioner (Dr Manish Kaushal) be treated as promoted to the post of professor from April 1, 2016, with all consequential benefits as he was found suitable by the DPC but was not promoted due to non-submission of an affidavit,” noted Justice Rusia.
