MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan announces 5 per cent quota for government school students in medical seats
Named 'Yuva Kaushal Kamayee Scheme, it will be launched on July 1, and comes in election year soon after the Ladli Bahna Yojana where Rs 1,000 will be given every month to around 1 crore women.Bhopal: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday announced that 5 per cent of seats will be reserved for government school students in MBBS and BDS courses and a separate merit list will be prepared for them. Medical seats will be reserved for Hindi medium of education, too, he said.
Chouhan also launched a 'learn-and-earn' scheme where youngsters will be given Rs 8,000 every month while they get hands-on skills training in business and industrial establishments. The government has set aside Rs 1000 crore for this in the budget.

A Rs 100 crore Student Innovation Fund will be created to encourage students to start business at the university level. Also, MP youth will be given basic and advanced courses in German and Japanese languages.
All this is part of the MP government Atma Nirbharta drive, the CM said. "A new and self-reliant Madhya Pradesh can be built only with the cooperation of the youth. The state government is ready to make all possible arrangements and provide necessary cooperation so that the youth can fulfil their dreams".
CM gives prizes to sportspersons
In this series, the state’s youth policy is being launched today,” Chouhan said at the Youth Mahapanchayat at Motilal Nehru Stadium on Shaheed Diwas . He also deposited Rs 17.9 crore in the accounts of 20,937 youth beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Jan-Kalyan Shiksha Protsahan Yojana, Rs 175 crore for the education of 3,182 students in institutions in the state and across the country, and Rs 12.9 crore in the accounts of 25,800 girls under Gaon Ki Beti Yojana.
He also gave away Rs 4.3 crore in prize money to 132 sportspersons who won 66 medals for the state in National Games. Ministers Vishwas Sarang, Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Dr. Mohan Yadav and MoS school education (independent charge) Inder Singh Parmar attended the event.
