CET: MBBS, BDS deadline extended

Mumbai: The state's CET cell has extended the registration deadline for health science courses, including MBBS and BDS, by two days.

Students can now complete the registration process for all NEET-UG courses till 12pm on July 31. The decision has come as a relief to several aspirants and their parents who have been facing technical glitches for the past four days. The CET cell also released the information brochure for admission to health science courses. TOI reported on the chaotic start to medical admission process on Thursday.

A CET cell official said they had to extend the deadline after the Directorate General of Health Services issued a revised schedule for undergraduate medical admissions in the country. The cell will release the provisional merit list on August 1 and the first selection list will be out on August 4, as per revised schedule. It mentions the academic session should start by September 1
