731 medical, dental seats allocated in third round

In the third round, there were 338 available seats in MBBS, including 222 non-reported, 16 cancelled seats from the second round, and 100 new seats added because of the approval of a new medical college in Kadi in Mehsana.

Ahmedabad: The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate & Postgraduate Medical Educational Courses allocated 731 new admissions in the third round for MBBS and BDS seats for the academic year 2024-25. The choice-filling process saw 9,116 students submitting their preferences out of the 22,189 students on the merit list. The seats were then allocated based on merit.

In the third round, there were 338 available seats in MBBS, including 222 non-reported, 16 cancelled seats from the second round, and 100 new seats added because of the approval of a new medical college in Kadi in Mehsana. For BDS, there were 393 available seats, with 374 non-reported and 19 cancelled seats from the previous round. The allocation resulted in 313 new admissions in MBBS and 418 in BDS. Additionally, 541 students transferred their admissions, with 168 in MBBS and 373 in BDS.

Students who were allocated seats were instructed to pay their tuition fees at the designated bank by Oct 22. They were also required to report and submit their original documents at the help centre between Oct 21 and 23. Following the completion of the third round, the admission committee will assess the vacant seats and make further decisions, according to sources.
