DR K M Cherian recounts his saga of success that resonates in Greece too
For Dr. K. M. Cherian, Chairman & CEO of Frontier Lifeline Hospital and Founder – Frontier Mediville, success was inevitable. From being the pioneer behind pediatric cardiac surgery in India to being laurelled and recognized for his generous contributions to Healthcare, he has established himself as the epitome of hard work and perseverance. An honorary surgeon to the President in the years of 1990 to 1993, Dr. Cherian has performed operations totalling over 38,000. Being the first and only Indian member of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery, Dr. Cherian was awarded Padma Shri by the Government of India (1991), a Wockhardt Medical Excellence Award (2005), through a panel organized by Harvard Medical School. Dr. Cherian is the only Indian doctor whose name is engraved in Kos Island, Greece, the birthplace of Hippocrates.
