UP govt all set to revamp patient care in hospitals
Chairing a meeting of heads of all medical institutions of the state, Pathak stressed on the importance of delivering exceptional medical services to patients and issued directives to enhance it. He has mandated hospitals to maintain ample stock of medicines and essential equipment and told doctors to restrict prescribing medicines which are available outside the government hospitals.
Chairing a meeting of heads of all medical institutions of the state, Pathak stressed on the importance of delivering exceptional medical services to patients and issued directives to enhance it. He has mandated hospitals to maintain ample stock of medicines and essential equipment and told doctors to restrict prescribing medicines which are available outside the government hospitals. For a robust response to critical cases, Pathak called for the establishment of a coordinated mechanism among medical institutions, particularly for the efficient allocation of ventilators and ICUs.
Pathak also emphasised on maintaining food quality in hospitals and urged for its regular inspections. Doctors have been asked to prescribe generic names of medicines to patients.
Pathak pushed for hospital cleanliness and vigilant supervision. State medical minister Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh and principal secretary Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma were also present in the meeting.
