Punjab: Ludhiana tops in making of health cards under ayushman bharat-sarbat sehat bima yojana

LUDHIANA: A meeting of District Grievances Redressal Committee (DGRC) regarding Ayushman Bharat-Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana was held under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner Pradeep Kumar Agrawal on Friday. This meeting was also attended by Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Kumar Bagga, ADC (Development) Amrit Singh, deputy medical commissioner Dr Mahinder Singh and other officials.


During the meeting, Agrawal informed that 16 government and 50 private hospitals are empanelled under this scheme. Under this scheme, 358556 golden cards have been made till date, which is the highest in the state. He further stated that 2340 patients in government hospitals and 902 in private hospitals have got their treatment done under this scheme.

He informed that under the scheme, each beneficiary family is eligible for cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh annually. He appealed to the eligible persons to avail full benefits of the scheme. He said that the eligible beneficiaries can check website www.shapunjab.in or contact their nearest Common Service Centre to check eligibility criteria or to get their cards made. He said that residents can also call at 104 helpline number for further details.
