PM Modi's 9th Independence Day address likely to focus on the health sector

This year August 15 marks the 75th anniversary of India's independence, with the government launching the ‘Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ campaign.
"The PM is likely to announce a host of initiatives for the health sector like the Heal in India and Heal by India projects and a roadmap to eliminate sickle cell disease by 2047. Touch upon qHPV against cervical cancer in the (NIP) and the expansion of the National Health Mission (NHM) under a new name PM Samagra Swasthya Mission," official sources said.

The government has launched a host of programmes, including 'Har Ghar Tiranga', in the run-up to the 75th anniversary of independence.
