In a 1st, Amit Shah to launch MBBS course in Hindi
Home minister Amit Shah will launch medical education in Hindi in Madhya Pradesh by releasing translated MBBS first-year books in Bhopal on October 16.
This is the first time in India that MBBS will be taught in Hindi, said CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday. “It will change the perception that medical and engineering courses can’t be learnt and taught in Hindi. This is a step in putting into practice the idea that one can move ahead in life through education in Hindi medium too,” he said.
Medical books on anatomy, biochemistry and physiology in Hindi will be released by Shah. “It’s the resolve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the medium of education should be in one’s mother tongue,” the CM added.
The MP government is also developing books for engineering and technical studies in Hindi, Chouhan said.
