Meteorologist at IMD Bhopal, Parmendra Kumar told ANI, "Currently, the heatwave has had a great impact across Madhya Pradesh and the temperature is increasing in the state. There are chances of the heatwave in various regions in the state today. The effect of the heatwave is likely to reduce gradually after one or two days."
The inoculation will be done at government hospitals and health centres in the city. The department is targeting the inoculation of around nine lakh children in the state capital and has made all possible preparations for the same.

At Gandhi Medical College in this city, more than 250 junior doctors maintained their strike for a third day on Thursday in protest of a colleague's recent passing. 3,000 check-ups in the outpatient departments and emergency services, according to the protesting doctors, were delayed, along with 40–45 procedures, as a result of the uproar at the GMC, which handles several hundred patients everyday from adjacent districts.
