Delhi to install telemetry devices to monitor oxygen supply on real-time
The telemetry devices installed in liquid medical oxygen tanks will help in supplying oxygen as per the need and it will help in real-time oxygen stock monitoring through the Delhi Government COVID war room
"The installation of telemetry devices will help in monitoring how much oxygen is available in which hospital so that oxygen can be delivered to the needy hospital in time in case of emergency. The devices are installed in these liquid medical oxygen tanks so that they can be monitored on a real-time basis. The telemetry device will help in transmitting the live information of the amount of oxygen present in each liquid medical oxygen tank to the war room of the Delhi government," a statement from the Delhi government informed.
The 100 oxygen storage tanks have a total capacity of 845.92 MT. With this device, the state government will be able to ensure the information of oxygen availability on a real-time basis and oxygen will be delivered on time to the needy hospital without any hassle.
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) imposed a weekend curfew to the national capital and work from home for government offices in new restrictions to tackle a surge in COVID cases driven by Omicron. The new curbs came in place with the positivity rate in Delhi staying above five per cent for two consecutive days.
Delhi has reported a rising positivity rate or the number of people testing positive for every 100 tests.Today, cases went up to 5,481, the highest in more than seven months; three deaths were reported.
