Parrikar's medical reports sent to US: Lobo

Panaji: Deputy speaker Michael Lobo said here on Monday that Manohar Parrikar’s medical reports have been sent to the US for taking a second opinion. He also said that if necessary, Parrikar would be shifted to the US for medical treatment. “He (Parrikar) is improving but if need be, he will be taken (to the US). We want him to recover. Whatever needs to be done has to be done,” he said. Lobo also said the PM’s office was closely monitoring the CM’s health.

Meanwhile, in a statement here, BJP state unit general secretary and MP Narendra Sawaikar said Parrikar is responding to treatment at Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai. “He is being treated by the best of the experts and as per information, his condition is stable,” Sawaikar said. He also clarified that “the news that he (Parrikar) is being flown to USA for further treatment is totally false and baseless”. tnn
