Over 34 lakh beneficiaries due for Covaxin second dose in Maharashtra
Over 34 lakh beneficiaries in the state are due for their second dose of Covaxin despite a shorter interval between its two doses.The data from the state health services department stated that around 2.
The data from the state health services department stated that around 2.77 lakh beneficiaries were yet to get their second dose in the Pune district, followed by around 2 lakh beneficiaries in Buldhana.
The data showed that around 1.77 lakh beneficiaries were yet to get their second dose of Covaxin in Mumbai, while Nanded had around 1.59 lakh such individuals.
Sanjay Patil, chairman, IMA’s Hospital Board of India, Pune chapter, told TOI, “The availability of Covaxin needs to be improved. Many citizens do not know where the centres are.”
