Docs of govt med colleges to wear bands of protests today

Bhopal: Government medical college doctors will wear black bands from Monday. They are opposing a government proposal for the appointment of administrative officers in medical colleges.

MPMTA officials said a draft of which is ready and this proposal is to be put before the state cabinet for approval on Tuesday. Medical teachers’ association has started working on a strategy to oppose this move. On Monday, doctors will work in the hospitals attached to all the medical colleges of the state wearing black bands. After tying black bands in the OPD, all the doctors will condemn the government's move by organizing a general meeting at 1 pm on the hospital premises.

Approval of the proposal is expected during cabinet meeting of MP government on Tuesday. A proposal in the meet agenda includes appointment of deputy collector and SDM in medical colleges. Medical teachers & doctors of government colleges have geared up for the stir if the government adopts the proposal.
