Karnataka has secured the second position with token count going beyond 7 lakh. Amongst all the districts, Bengaluru Urban has taken the lead in issuing more tokens. The Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare Department (HFW), Randeep D was sent an appreciation later by the National Health Authority, Government of India for reaching this new high. In the letter by Dr Basant Garg, Additional Chief Executive Officer, it said that Karnataka has become the leader in the country by generating highest number of tokens -- more than 7 lakh till date.
Commendably, these tokens are getting generated in facilities across the state. “The said achievement could be gained only by dedicated and passionate team led by a good leader. Accolades also go for proper planning, quick execution, and regular management of progress in this regard,” said Dr Garg in the letter.
Under Karnataka, Bengaluru Urban is leading by issuing 2,06,649 tokens, followed by Ballari with 64,128 tokens and Bengaluru Rural has 44,389 tokens issued till date. The hospitals provide their unique QR codes in patient registration areas for convenient and efficient registration. Patients have the option to use various health applications such as ABHA App, Aarogya Setu to scan the QR code. Thereafter, they can easily share their ABHA profile, which includes information like their name, age, gender, and ABHA number, with the hospital’s Health Management Information System (HMIS).
A doctor from CV Raman General Hospital said, “The patients will not have to wait in queue for longer hours. Once the QR code scanning is completed, it will generate a token number on the patient’s phone. The token number should be shown at the ‘fast track counter’ to get the OPD slip instantly.”
