Ukraine to allow medical students to take key exam from India

New Delhi: Ukraine’s first deputy foreign minister Emine Dzhaparova conveyed to the Indian government that Indian medical students who were forced to return home because of the Russia-Ukraine conflict will be allowed to take an important examination from India, said the Ministry of external affairs in a press release on the minister’s visit.

“On the issue of Indian medical students, the deputy FM mentioned that Ukraine will allow foreign medical students to take the Unified State Qualification Exam in their country of domicile,”said the government.

The Ukrainian minister also proposed that rebuilding infrastructure in Ukraine could be an opportunity for Indian companies. While recalling that India has provided medicines, medical equipment to Ukraine, Indian authorities told her that India would provide school buses to Ukraine.

Ukraine’s request for additional humanitarian supply, including medicines and medical equipment was also shared by her.

“Ms Dzhaparova, during her visit, highlighted Ukraine’s desire to build a stronger and closer relationship with India. Ms Dzhaparova’s visit to India would facilitate cooperation between the two countries,” said the government.
