In a representation to MSU vice-chancellor (VC), senate and syndicate member Hasmukh Vaghela, said that the state government had approved Rs 18 crore grant for the construction of a new building for the faculty which was to be constructed in a period of three years.
“As on date, the construction of the building has not been completed due to some collision between the contractor and the construction department of our university. The work is going on at a very slow pace without any reason,” claimed Vaghela, adding that as senate member from the faculty, he made several verbal representations to faculty dean, the construction department and even the VC. He demanded that appropriate action be taken against those involved in causing the delay as students and teachers are suffering due to the delay.
“As per the approved plan, the building will have best-in-class facilities to accommodate more students and research scholars,” said Vaghela, demanding that BPharm and MPharm seats should also be increased.
“Even more PhD scholars can be admitted,” Vaghela added.
