PG medical admissions to begin on Friday

Ahmedabad: The state government on Wednesday announced that the admission to the 2,400-odd postgraduate medical seats will begin on Friday. The last day for filling in the admission forms is June 30.

The Admission Committee for Professional Post Graduate Medical Courses (ACPPGMC), which declared the dates and rules for the admission process, stated that the student will have to buy a pin online from medadmgujarat.org by making two transactions, one of Rs 3000 and another of Rs 25,000. The amount of Rs 3,000 is non-refundable while Rs 25,000 is a refundable security deposit.

The officials said that once the online registration is over, the student will have to get his documents verified and to submit their photocopies at the help centre after taking prior appointment.

The appointment must be taken at the time of printing the registration slip. The 17 help centres will be operational from 10 am to 4 pm.

The officials said that the NRI candidates will be required to submit a demand draft of Rs 25,000 only which is non-refundable. The DD should be drawn in favour of “ACPUGMEC”, payable at Gandhinagar.

The officials said that the help centres in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar are at BJ Medical College, GMERS Medical College, Sola and Gandhinagar, GCS Medical college, NHL Medical College and Narendra Modi Medical College.

In Rajkot, the help centre is at PDU Medical College while in Vadodara, it is at SSG Hospital.

In Surat, the help centres are at Government Medical College and Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education and Research.
