Odisha: Application process on for medical counselling

Bhubaneshwar: The application process for medical counselling started on Friday in the state. Candidates, who have cleared the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (undergraduate)-2022 and are interested in participating in state medical counselling for MBBS/BDS seats for the academic session 2022-23, can take part in the online registration process.

Only the candidates who are natives of Odisha are eligible for all the state quota MBBS and BDS seats in the state. However, other state candidates may apply for NRI quota seats, an official source said.

Candidates can submit an online application, deposit the fee and upload documents for online verification by October 10. Reconciliation and processing of data will be done on October 13 and 14.

Provisional state merit list of registered candidates will be published on October 15. The final merit list of registered candidates will be published on October 18.

"Actual counselling process will start only after the commencement of central counselling by the Medical Counselling Committee. This is a preparatory process," said OJEE chairman SK Chand.

The Medical Counsellig committee under the Union ministry of health and family welfare will issue the notification soon to start the seat allotment process for all-India quota.
