Not a single broker will be allowed on medical college campus: Brijesh Pathak

Jhansi: "I have instructed the administration to take severe action under the Gangster Act against those who act as brokers to woo patients inside the medical college campus and take them to private hospitals. Not a single broker will be allowed here", said deputy CM Brijesh Pathak here on Sunday at Jhansi medical college where he had come to inaugurate the central pathological lab and a meditation hall.

When asked by the media on the allegations leveled by Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav that the health scenario of the state is on ventilator, Pathak said that SP leaders only tweet and level allegations on social media while sitting at their homes whereas, the ground realities have completely changed while people are getting free and quality treatment.

"The narrative of UP has changed. Everyone knows that during the SP regime mafia and scoundrels used to harass common people and the party used to promote them. Today, they are in jail".

He expressed pleasure while visiting the pathology lab and the meditation centre. He said the meditation centre will help in upgrading the medical students.

Talking to TOI, principal of the medical college, Dr Narendra Singh Sengar said the CCTV cameras are being upgraded in the entire college campus and strict action will be taken against unwanted people through strict monitoring.

Earlier, on late Saturday night, the deputy CM visited the district hospital and reviewed its working. He also inspected the Gulara piped drinking water project under Jal Jeevan Mission which is being considered as the utmost priority project for the Bundelkhand region.
