Metropolis Foundation rolls out 4th edition of annual ‘MedEngage Scholarship Programme 2022-23’
The foundation is planning to extend 150 scholarships in the current year. In addition to the financial support to the most deserving and meritorious students, the programme endeavours to provide them with world-class laboratory assistance with an aim to raise the bar of academic research in the nation. MedEngage in the long run intends to build a knowledge community and a robust platform to share industry’s best practices in India and globally by engaging a panel of medical and scientific experts.

In addition to the financial support to the most deserving and meritorious students, the programme endeavours to provide them with world-class laboratory assistance with an aim to raise the bar of academic research in the nation. Under MedEngage, students can also apply for Observership Programme, Academic Research Support, Laboratory Tour, Internships etc. MedEngage in the long run intends to build a knowledge community and a robust platform to share industry’s best practices in India and globally by engaging a panel of medical and scientific experts.
Dr Duru Shah, Chairperson, Metropolis Foundation said, “We strongly believe that education plays a critical role in the holistic development of the youth of the nation. We are happy that we are able to support those bright young medical students, who wish to delve deeper into science and need funding for research.”
Dr Kirti Chadha, Chief Scientific Officer and Group Head-CSR, Metropolis Healthcare Limited said, “As medical colleges and DNB hospitals in the country increase, we have also been increasing our budget and number of beneficiaries to ensure a sizeable percentage of the eligible population gets impacted with programme benefits.”
Since the inception of the programme, over 500 institutes have been reached and more than 5000 students have registered for scholarships and other benefits under the gamut of the MedEngage Programme. The portal is open for applications from December 15, 2022, to January 15, 2023. Ernst and Young is the process partner for MedEngage Scholarship Programme and all applications will be evaluated by a panel of jury members, predominantly from the healthcare fraternity and external bodies. The winners will be announced in February 2022, followed by a felicitation ceremony which will be held in March 2022.
