Feel-like heat touches 49 degrees Celsius in Delhi, IMD extends heatwave alert till May 29

​At Mungeshpur in north Delhi, the temperature shot up to 48.8 degrees Celsius, which was eight notches above normal. It was the hottest area in the city. Najafgarh in west Delhi recorded a maximum of 48.6 degrees Celsius, Narela 48.4, Pitampura 47.6, Pusa and Jafarpur recorded 47.2. All were heatwave zones.
