During the survey, 51 houses were found to have mosquito-breeding spots. A total of 30 notices have been issued to defaulters for not implementing protective measures against vector-borne diseases.
Since May 1, Trichy has been recording moderate showers for consecutive days. Workers have been mobilised in vulnerable areas to identify mosquito sources and sensitise people to follow safety measures to overcome the mosquito menace. “So far no dengue fever cases were reported in the city. The study, published in the journal Immunology and Inflammation, shows that a mild fever helped fish clear their bodies of infection rapidly, controlled inflammation and repaired tissue damage.
