VCID could hit 75mn by 2030 across globe, says US scientist
Delivering a lecture at the biotechnology department of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB), Saif, who is a scientist in the department of translational neuroscience, Barrow Neurological Institute, Phoenix, Arizona (USA), observed that a condition called vascular cognitive impairment dementia (VCID) arises from stroke which affects memory, thinking and behavior of the affected man. VCID gives rise to about 20 per cent of all dementia cases and it is projected to affect over 75 million people by 2030, he said.
