The movement to end Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) has been defined by partnerships and collaboration: Thoko Elphick-Pooley
Neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) are a group of 20 diseases and disease groups that cause agony for 1.7 billion people; they debilitate, disfigure and can kill. These diseases include Chagas disease, leprosy and dengue. They are called neglected because they affect the world’s poorest and receive less attention than other diseases.
