Removing Darwin's theory from NCERT books deprives kids of evidence-based scientific knowledge, say biologists

Speaking to ETHealthworld, Prof LS Shashidhara, Director, National Centre for Biological Sciences, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, and Amitabh Joshi, Professor and Chair, Evolutionary and Organismal Biology Unit, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Bengaluru stated that the basic tenets of the theory of evolution as espoused by Darwin have withstood the test of time for more than 150 years. Stated that it is wrong to say that "these theories are outdated," as the core of evolutionary understanding has not changed.
