Patients suffer after AIIMS-Delhi computer system crashes
The computer server at AIIMS, a hospital in New Delhi, crashed causing long delays for patients seeking registration and other services. This is the second time in a year that the hospital's computer systems have failed. Although the hospital claims that the crash was due to maintenance work, sources suggest that it was caused by a software update. The crash affected all patient services, including registration, sample collection, report generation, billing, and admissions. Patients had to wait for hours as manual registration was conducted, causing significant inconvenience.
