At a special interaction programme called ‘Samvad', lieutenant governor V K Saxena distributed the specially designed ID cards to 400 senior citizens from across the city. "The QR code feature aims to provide critical information to emergency responders and healthcare providers, ensuring timely and effective assistance," he said.
Chief medical officer, Dr Sandeep Chaudhary, stated that Ayushman cardholders can avail themselves of free treatment up to five lakh rupees by getting admitted to any registered hospital under this scheme. The govt is focusing on ensuring health services reach all senior citizens through the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, and thus, Ayushman cards are being issued for those over 70 years old, aiming to provide excellent healthcare to all.
