  There are over 3,100 persons including 1,827 females and 1,298 males, who are declared fit for discharge but languishing in mental health institutions across states, as per the latest data available on ‘Manoashraya’ — a dashboard launched recently by the department of empowerment of persons with disabilities (DEPwD) of the ministry of social justice and empowerment.
