In an article accompanying five India-specific disease burden studies released on Wednesday, the journal’s editor-in-chief Richard Horton has said Modi is the first PM to prioritise universal health coverage as part of his political reform.
Speaking to 200 doctors at the Royal Society of Medicine in London on Saturday, Rahul Gandhi said,“ the goal of universal healthcare in India” had finally become achievable."
In a late night statement, AIIMS said the former PM has been “diagnosed with a urinary tract infection” for which appropriate treatment is being given and a team of doctors are closely monitoring him. Sources in AIIMS described the condition of BJP stalwart as “critical”, with his sole kidney and lung performing at their lowest capacity.
