Road safety week: 25% of facial injuries in road accidents require major surgery, say doctors

From January 11 to 18, the Indian government is holding a road safety week during which a number of events are planned to inform and educate the public on preventing traffic accidents. Doctors during a seminar held in conjunction with the central government's road safety week stated that approximately 25% of facial injuries sustained in auto accidents necessitate significant surgical intervention.
