Maharashtra Anganwadi workers' strike likely to affect health & education schemes

Currently, the workers are paid between Rs 8,300 and Rs 8,500 while the helpers get between Rs 4,300 and Rs 4,500. The Maharashtra State Anganwadi Workers' Action Committee has demanded that the honorarium be increased to Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 for workers and helpers, respectively.
