• Sun Pharma posts Rs 2,375.5 crore Quarter 2 net profit

  Sun Pharmaceuticals reported a 5% increase in its consolidated net profit for the second quarter of FY 2024. The company's revenue also rose by 11.3% and its EBITDA came in at Rs 3,179 crore. Sun Pharma's India formulation sales increased by 11.1%, while US formulation sales increased by 4.2%. Sun Pharma also highlighted the positive phase-3 data for Nidlegy in patients with melanoma. The company's API business saw a 5.1% increase in external sales.

  

• GSK India net profit grows 13% to Rs 131 crore in Q1FY24

  GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals (GSK India) on Wednesday reported 13% year-on-year (YoY) jump of net profit to Rs 131 crore for the quarter ended June 2023 led by robust volumes, price hikes and recovery of its vaccine business. The said it maintained its gross margins despite the National List of Essential Medicines (NLEM) impact, while EBITDA margins declined 1% to 19.1% on account of new product launch investments led by Shingrix.

  

• Medanta's net rises 5-fold to Rs 101 crore in March quarter

  The Ebitda margins expanded 890 YoY basis points to 26.2 per cent. Occupied bed days increased by 25.6 per cent YoY, representing an occupancy of 58 per cent on increased bed capacity.

  

• Aurobindo’s Q4 net profit down by 12 pc

  For the financial year 2022-23 too, the company clocked a 27 per cent fall in consolidated net profit at 1,928 crore as against 2,647 crore in FY22 despite a 6 per cent rise in consolidated revenue from operations at 24,855 crore for FY23 as against 23,456 crore in FY22.

  Hyderabad-based Gland Pharma, which primarily operates under a business-to-business (B2B) model, generally derives 70 per cent of its revenue from core markets that include the United States, Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

  

• Zydus Lifesciences Q4 Results: Consolidated net profit dips 25 pc to Rs 297 crore

  ​​The company, which had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 397.4 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal, mentioned its board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 6 per equity share of Re 1 each, subject to approval of shareholders at the Annual General Meeting scheduled to be held on August 11, 2023.

  

• Pfizer's India unit posts 3 pc rise in Q4 profit

  Net profit for the quarter ended March 31 rose to 1.30 billion rupees ($15.90 million) from 1.26 billion rupees a year ago, while revenue rose 4.2 per cent. Pfizer also declared a final dividend of 35 rupees per share and a special dividend of 5 rupees per share.

  

• Max Healthcare Q3 results: Net profit jumps 87% to Rs 252 crore

  Revenues rose 20% YoY to Rs 1392 crore in Q3FY22 compared to Rs 1158 crore in Q3FY20.

  

• Dr Lal Pathlabs skids 3% as Q3 net profit drops 39% YoY

  In the corresponding quarter last year, the company posted a net profit of Rs 95.9 crore, reports said, adding that total revenue for the quarter rose 9.8 per cent YoY to Rs 497 crore from Rs 452.4 crore in the year-ago quarter.
