When the allotment list was released on Tuesday, 670 seats — 650 from private colleges and 20 from a government college — were not included, leaving students in confusion.
“This is a dream project for the MUHS. The varsity is keen to complete the recruitment process by the end of this month. Thereafter, commission would make an inspection before giving its final nod. MPGIMER is likely to start functioning from 2022-23,” said Kanitkar.
The exams for first, second and third year of health science courses, including MBBS, Ayurveda, homeopathy, etc. conducted by the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) were already postponed twice before.
The exam, which was supposed to start on March 23, will now begin on April 19 and continue till May 12.
Aurangabad Government Cancer Hospital is being developed as the State Cancer Institute in Maharashtra and against this backdrop the course is deemed crucial.
