Delhi doctors call off strike on Supreme Court prod, assurance of safety at work

He claimed the residents had "never wanted to go on a strike", but the horrific incident in Kolkata had exposed severe deficiencies in the safety and security arrangement in the healthcare system, compelling them to take a stand.
