Artificial intelligence (AI) will help make sense of the rich data in the health sector and provide early diagnosis and preventive approaches on diseases. This was the consensus among experts speaking on ‘Health AI for Bharat’ during the ARTPARK Innovation Summit 2022 on Monday.
"The Omicron BA.2 is more transmissible than the previously identified BA.1 subvariant. It can causes mild symptoms," Dr Suneela Garg, who is also a member of Lancet Commission, told IANS.
The authors highlighted the urgent need to roll out locally tailored interventions that reduced risk factor exposure, alongside research to discover effective disease-modifying treatments and new modifiable risk factors to reduce the future burden of disease.
The 2015 Lancet Commission on Health and Climate Change says the implications of climate change for a global population of nine billion people threatens to undermine the last half century of gains in development and global health.
Globally, the study found that women’s contribution to healthcare was over $3 trillion, which is 2.35% of global GDP for unpaid work and 2.47% of GDP for paid work.
