Punjab's health budget: Booster shot to health ‘weak dose’ for systemic ailments

The state government proposes to overcome the shortage of staff, infrastructure, and medicine. and equipment. Out of Rs-4,781-crore budget, finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema kept only Rs 39 crore for the special project of strengthening all secondary healthcare institutions, which includes face-lifting the hospitals, while filling 363 posts of medical officer (specialist) and 470 of medical officer (general).
