COVID in Kerala: Three deaths & 292 new cases reported in 24 hours; active cases rise to 2,041

At present the total number of active cases in the country is 2,311 of which 2,041 are in Kerala. In the last 24 hours, three COVID-related deaths have also been reported from the state. Sources said that more cases are being reported from Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam. However, the state health department is not releasing the district-wise data of the positive cases being reported now.

Kerala: 3.75 lakh tests to be done in two days

As per the plan, the state will see 1.25 lakh testing on Thursday and 2.5 lakh testing on Friday. In two days, 3.75 lakh people will be tested as part of this drive. It has been decided to use both RT-PCR and antigen tests for the augmented testing.
