According to the doctors at the hospital, the patient came with a fever and body ache, but tested negative for chikungunya, dengue or Zika. A blood test at a private lab later returned a positive result for West Nile, the doctors said.
Pune city has had 243 confirmed chikungunya cases as of Sept 23. The Yerwada-Kalas-Dhanori civic ward has reported 68 cases; next is the Nagar Road-Wadgaonsheri ward, with 39 patients.
