PM Narendra Modi ramped up the fight against coronavirus by announcing that the entire country was being placed under lockdown for 21 days, starting midnight in order to break the chain of Covid-19 transmission.
As most of India went into shutdown in a mega effort to stop the spread of Covid-19 — complete lockdowns were announced in 30 states/ UTs and a total of 548 districts
