Seven medicines manufactured in India flagged ‘toxic’ by WHO
Christian Lindmeier, a spokesman for the World Health Organisation (WHO), verified the situation in an email to The Indian Express. The twenty drugs in question were produced by 15 companies in India and Indonesia, two different nations. These could be syrups, paracetamol, cough syrup, or vitamins. In the instance of India, the WHO has deemed four medications produced by Haryana-based Maiden Pharmaceuticals, Noida-based Marion Biotech, and Punjab-based QP Pharmachem to be contaminated.
