Learning from the 2018 floods, when services in many of the major private hospitals in the district were badly affected, this time the hospitals have kept a disaster action plan ready to ensure patient safety as well as safety of all hospital equipment and medicines.
According to Karnataka Health Minister K Sudhakar, the new course will make the health delivery system holistic in both private and government hospitals.
The courses include BSc in Medical Laboratory Technology, Emergency Medical Technology, and Dialysis Technology. This also includes a BBA in Optometry and Hospital Management, which are four-year courses that include one year of internship.
The district administration has taken this decision after investigation on Tuesday afternoon.
