According to Dr Selva Kumar, drinking at least 4 liters of water per day prevents sunstroke. "Low water percentage in our body can lead to sunstroke," he said and suggested people to wear light-colored cotton clothes, carry protection gear like caps, eyeglasses, and umbrellas, and avoiding heat-absorbing black clothes.
