WHO South-East Asia urges greater disability inclusion in healthcare

Over 1.3 billion people live with disabilities globally, with 16 per cent of the South-East Asia Region's population affected. WHO South-East Asia Regional Director, Saima Wazed, calls for the integration of disability perspectives in all aspects of healthcare, from planning to implementation, highlighting the need for policies that promote equity and inclusion for persons with disabilities in healthcare settings.
