"Government will implement the policy of providing free medicines in all the state government hospitals from June 1 this year as this has been a long pending demand of people" state health minister Bali Bhagat said on Sunday.
The Odisha government has embarked on an ambitious drive of providing 570 medicines free of cost in government hospitals from May 1 at a time when the central government gave a quiet burial to free drug distribution scheme at the national level first promised in 2012.
