Dr. Shroff's Charity Eye Hospital reports a 26% increase in Myopia cases between 2021 and 2023
In the past 40 years, the average prevalence of myopia in children aged 5 to 15 has been 8.5% and 6.1% in urban and rural children, respectively. A 26% rise in myopia cases has been observed by Dr. Shroff's Charity Eye Hospital (SCEH), with children from metropolitan areas being the main victims.
