Doctors association demanded the rollback of the union government’s proposal making exit test mandatory for medical students in a national seminar conducted by the Tamil Nadu Medical students association in Trichy.
State health minister Mangal Pandey said in the state assembly on Friday that only 6,830 doctors have been attending to healthcare needs of people against the requirement of 17,685 doctors as per the projected 2018 population of the state.
