Mask mandates for children may do more harm than good: Public health expert

A recent study published in the journal BMJ assessed the effectiveness of mandatory use of face covering masks (FCMs) in schools during the first term of the 2021-2022 academic year in Spain. The study found no significant differences in SARS-CoV-2 transmission due to FCM mandates.
